ARE YOU BORED OF BALLET FLATS, AND HEELS ARE A NO-NO?
There is a way of solving this! Hurray!
Try on these for an alternative - Slippers, Loafers. OR Ultraflat flats.
Flats . Slippers . Loafers
Velvet
Studded
These smoking pairs are HOT this season. Fashion icons such as Emma Watson, Alexa Chung and Carey Mulliguan, have been spotted wearing this trend which was first trended by British Supermodel Kate Moss back in 2010.
These flats, slippers or whatever you call them are a cross between flats and slip-ons. These are man-inspired shoes initially worn by wealthy American men in the 1970s ( debonair look ) when they hosted dinner parties at home. Gradually, it became more popular when Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner was pictured wearing them with a silk robe. They are no higher than 0.5cm.
Try the Velvet pair for a luxe feel, pair it with a oversized top and a tight bottom for a more boyish-feminine style. ( you don't want to look like a balloon if you wear a lose bottom as well ) Or, if you like, try having short denim skirt and a darker tone shirt for a laid back, walk-in-the-town look.
For the Studded pair, work your rocker-chic look by teaming a muscle tee or denim sleeveless top and high-waist acid-wash denim shorts. If you're daring, try adding on a mesh legging. You'll definitely be an eye catcher for that day!
Ultraflats
For these ultraflat flats, you can try putting together a plain top with a maxi skirt, top it off with a head piece and a fringe bag for a bohemian look. OR if you're feeling girl-ly, pair both floral top and floral skirt to achieve a sweet girl look. ( accessories - keep it to a colour, preferably black or brown tones ) Otherwise you'll look too complicated, the pieces will be fighting against one another to gain attention.
XOXO
